OPG (Orthopantomogram)

An OPG, or panoramic dental X-ray, captures a comprehensive view of the lower face, showcasing all the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws on a single image. This diagnostic tool is frequently used by dentists and orthodontists  to assess overall dental health, including the development of teeth, jawbone structure, and to detect any potential issues like cavities, infections, or impacted teeth. OPG is especially valuable for orthodontic treatment planning, evaluating wisdom teeth, and diagnosing temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

CEPH (Cephalometric X-ray)

CEPH is a specialized X-ray technique used to obtain a detailed side view of the head, focusing on the teeth, jaws, and facial bones. This X-ray is essential for orthodontic treatment planning in RAK, helping to diagnose jaw abnormalities, facial asymmetry, and other conditions requiring orthodontic interventions such as braces or jaw surgery. CEPH X-rays provide critical data for determining the best approach for achieving optimal alignment and function.

3D X-ray (CBCT – Cone Beam Computed Tomography)

The 3D X-ray, or CBCT, is a cutting-edge imaging technique that offers a three-dimensional view of the teeth, jaws, and surrounding structures. CBCT scans in RAK deliver high-resolution images with minimal distortion, making them indispensable for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning in fields like oral surgery, implantology, and orthodontics. This advanced imaging is particularly useful for assessing complex dental issues such as impacted teeth, bone structure for implant placement, and detecting infections or tumors.
